The Red Queen

Sorry I haven’t posted in almost a week. Been very busy and now I turn around and it’s July 1st and I’m going to be even busier this month.

Is it me or does life and time seem to be moving faster?

I feel like Alice with the Red Queen. You remember the scene?

“Well, in our country,” said Alice, still panting a little, “you’d generally get to somewhere else — if you run very fast for a long time, as we’ve been doing.”

“A slow sort of country!” said the Queen. “Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!”

The older we get, the faster it goes.

Does this mean the job situation is looking better since you see much busy-ness in your future?

No, unfortunately, the job situation is actually about to wind down in just over a week and I’m busy looking for work in addition to writing. Thus the busyness. 🙂

  3. Digital Dame says:

Sorry to hear that. I am wishing you much luck with the job search, and hoping something permanent will turn up. Soon. 🙂

  4. I second the good luck with the job search.

And regarding “Alice”- it’s amazing how much wisdom is inside that small, surreal novel.

Digital Dame: Thanks, DD. Well, unfortunately, these are the times we live in for now. Just gotta get through it and keep eyes fixed on the prize.

Gypsyscarlett: Thanks about the job search! I need to reread Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. I used to read both books over and over when I was a kid.
